February 28, 2010 Annual Meeting
The NMDHA Annual Banquet and Meeting was held Sunday, February 28, 2010 at The Landing in St. Anna.
The dinner was held at noon with the business meeting to follow. The weather was on our side this time. It was a sunny warm day. We served 168 members for dinner. We thank all of those who brought door prizes and desserts for our meeting. Two directors ended their terms—Donny Montag and Roy Molitor. Thank you to Donny and Roy for all of your hard work, leadership and service.
Elections for open directors’ positions for 2010 and 2011 were held. Gene Loxtercamp, Sauk Centre, was reelected with Keith Wolbeck, St. Joseph, and Barb Schloemer, St. Joseph.
Congratulations to Shannon Eickoff daughter of Gary and Sandy Eickhoff of Richmond, MN. Shannon is our new NMDHA 2010-2011 Queen.
Thank you to Gene and Pat Loxterkamp for providing the land for the 2009 Field Days. Also thank you to all of those who volunteered their help.
Thanks to Mel Klein and Gene Loxterkamp for narrating the videos. They spend a lot of their time working on these videos. Thank you also to Carla Wolbeck, Adeline Bouchard, Richard Hicks, Ronnie Hartmann and Robert Mischka for their movies and photos for the DVD’s. Also thanks to DTV 19, Sauk Centre for filming and putting the DVD’s together.

2010 Club Events
The NMDHA Spring Plows Days is Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Leon Luffey’s, 5521 Farmington Ave. S.E. Delano, MN. Directions from Hwy 55 East of Buffalo, take Co. Rd. 14 So. Take a left on Co. Rd 32 the take another right on Farmington Ave. for 2 ½ miles. Watch for 5521 on the right.
Directions from Hwy 12 West of Delano, take Co. Rd. 14 North and then take a right on Co. Rd. 32 and follow the above directions
The NMDHA Summer Picnic & Meeting is on Sunday, June 27, 2010 at Avon, MN. This picnic is hosted by LeRoy & Eileen Ritter. Bring a dish to share, and bring your own plates and utensils. Directions from Interstate 94, take the Avon exit and go South on County Rd 9 for approximately 3 miles. Their farm is below a large hill, on the left. Watch for a sign at the end of the driveway. The NMDHA Annual Fall Field Days for 2010 will be hosted by LeRoy & Eileen Ritter at Richmond, MN.
We are looking for a draft horse filly foal that can be registered for our raffle. We will accept a colt if no filly can be found. If you have one that you would like to offer for purchase, please let one of the directors know. We would like to have a foal in time for the Stearns County Fair in Sauk Centre.
There will be a change to our raffle tickets this year. We will also have 1 - $100, 2- $50 and 3-$25
drawings.

August 6, 7, & 8, 2010 Scott Carver Threshers in Jordan, MN is holding their 47th Old Time Harvest Steam & Gas Engine Festival. They are looking to get teamsters and their horses back into the show doing different things, from plowing and working a field to hauling people to picking up bundles and hauling them to a threshing machine.
