Fall 2009

NMDHA 2009 FIELD DAYS
September 26th & 27th, 2009
Gene & Pat Loxtercamp
Sauk Centre, MN
After the morning fog lifted on Saturday and the grass dried out along with everyone’s feet, we had a beautiful day for our 30th Annual Field Days. The teamsters showed in style along with the large crowd which took in the activities go on during the day. As the day drew to an end, many of the teamsters camped overnight and were treated to a bonfire along with entertainment. There were a lot of stories being told around the bonfire. Thru the night we could hear the wind picking up. Sunday turned out to be a very interesting day as the wind became stronger causing tents to go flying and the canceling of the parade. Although, the spectators still came to see the events of the day.
The many activities the teamsters were involved in were: plowing, disking, mowing, raking, and stacking hay, corn binding & picking, threshing oats, grain binding, digging of potatoes and other various activities and the grand parade.
The potatoes again were a big success with 290 bags sold at a $1.00 each.
The pumpkins were another success as we sold $212.00 worth.

So thank you again to everyone
